The cash grants offered to foreign investors are given through the following:

  • The Promotion Fund for Investment: The government takes part in the financing of the land, training as well as other infrastructure expenses (Conditions apply).
  • Hassan II Fund for Economic and Social Development : To promote investment in strategic sectors with high value added such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, nanotechnology, biotechnology and micro technology, the Hassan II Fund can contribute up to 10% of the amount of the investment to the financing of land, buildings and equipments acquisition

  • Exemption from the corporate tax on the export oriented turnover during the first 5 years and a reduction of 17.5% beyond this period.
  • Exemption from tax on patents and urban tax during the first 5 years for companies set up in free zones.

  • Exemption from import duty, applicable to equipments goods, materials and tools necessary for project implementation (Conditions Apply)
  • Exemption during the first 36 months from the ‘import VAT”, applicable to equipments goods, materials and tools necessary for project (Conditions Apply)

  • Integrated Industrial Platforms providing appropriate infrastructures and services are being developed. These platforms can be either multisectorial or dedicated to a specific sector. Thus, in some of these platforms, it is planned to have some associated free zones like Kenitra and Nador.

  • Creation of specialized institutes for automotive trades, aerospace industry and textile sector.
  • Training program assistance offered to the operators for the 6 sectors mentioned in the Emergence Plan including a training program upon hiring and continued training - government contribution can reach up to €5000 per employee.

    • Complete exoneration on corporate tax during 5 years, with a ceiling of 8.75% over 20 years in free zones
    • Creation for specialized aerospace industry with over 15 000 new graduates (2009-2015)
    • Government contribution up to €5500 per employer for hiring and continued training.
  3. Aerospace industry
    • Complete exoneration on corporate tax during 5 years, with a ceiling of 8.75% over 20 years in free zones
    • Creation of 4 specialized institutes for automotive trades with over 70000 new graduates (2009-2015).
    • Government contribution up to €5275 per employer for hiring and continued training.
